Seems pretty crazy the TV partners agreed to increase the

total payout to keep the per team share constant no matter who the B12 adds.

If they make a money grab like this, i.e., paying new members a smaller amount so that existing members can get a larger share, I do not think it will bode well for them as a conference at the end of this contract.
